The market is just one of several events which make up the festival, which runs until Sunday, March 21.
Other events taking part over the last few days include the Sussex Beer and Cider Festival at the Hove Centre, the Introduction to Permaculture Show at Stanmer Park and a pasta eating competition at Nick & Franco’s Deli in The Lanes.
On Wednesday, St Patrick’s Day will be celebrated in Jubilee Square and next weekend sees the Chocolate Festival take over New Road on Saturday and Sunday and a whisky festival at the Hilton Brighton Metropole on Saturday afternoon.
