A cannabis farm has been found in an old bank building in Rottingdean High Street.
One man from Brighton has been arrested and bailed as Sussex Police continues to gather evidence from the old Lloyds bank premises.
The force said: “Police have arrested one man following the discovery of a substantial cannabis factory in Rottingdean.
“Officers were called to a disused building in the High Street at around 1pm on Sunday (23 June) after suspicious activity was reported.
“Police attended and found a large amount of cannabis plants being grown.
“One man, a 27-year-old Brighton resident, was arrested on suspicion of producing class B drugs, driving without insurance and concealing, disguising, converting, transferring, removing criminal property.
“He has been bailed until (Monday) 22 July.
“An investigation continues.”
