UPDATE: Jay Shentall has been found safe, Sussex Police said.
Police have issued a public appeal for help to find a missing man from Brighton who has been described as “high risk”.
Sussex Police said this afternoon (Wednesday 12 June): “Police are searching for high-risk missing man Jay Shentall from Brighton.
“The 27-year-old was reported missing on Wednesday afternoon (12 June) and police are concerned for his welfare due to his vulnerabilities.
“Jay is white, about 6ft, of medium build, with short brown hair.
“He was last seen wearing a grey Super Mario t-shirt, a blue hoody with a fur-trim hood, green tracksuit bottoms and white Nike trainers.
“Jay is known to frequent the Brighton Palace Pier and Brighton Marina and members of the public are asked to keep an eye out for him in these areas in particular.
“Anyone who sees him is asked to dial 999 immediately.”
