Firefighters from Preston Circus were called out to tackle a flood at a property in Brighton overnight and a fuel leak in Patcham.
This morning East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 6.05am, Brighton firefighters attended a commercial property in Ship Street, Brighton, following reports of a severe flooding.
“Crews isolated the flood and electrics.
“At 8.21pm last night, Brighton firefighters attended Court Close, Brighton, following reports of a severe petrol leak on the road.
“Firefighters cleaned the area and made the scene safe.”
At 2.28am yesterday, firefighters from Brighton helped colleagues from West Sussex Fire and Rescue at the scene of a car crash in Common Lane, Ditchling.
The fire service said: “Three people were extricated from the vehicle using hydraulic rescue equipment.”
On Monday night at 9.40pm, firefighters from Roedean and Newhaven tackled an out-of-control bonfire at a holiday park in South Heighton.
And earlier, at 5.11pm, Brighton firefighters were called to deal with a “dangerous structure” in Southdown Avenue, Brighton.
The fire service said: “Crews made the scene safe.”
