Campaigners against the coalition government’s health reforms are holding a follow-up meeting in Brighton next week.
The campaign group, Keep Our NHS Public, said that up to 50 people went along to the Friends Meeting House in Ship Street, Brighton, last week for a public meeting headlined “Our NHS is not for sale”.
On Monday (8 August) they plan to meet at the Caxton pub in North Gardens, Brighton, at 7pm to organise their protests.
They said that the ideas to come from last week’s meeting included a mass city-wide street petitioning day to raise awareness of the threat posed by the Health and Social Care Bill.
Other ideas included a national day of action and demonstration and a call for all workers to walk out of work to save the NHS.
