Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) is preparing to set sail into a summer of theatre, comedy, music and family shows as it celebrates its fifth birthday.
Since opening in 2015 the theatre has grown its summer programme and audience numbers exponentially. The 2019 season has an incredible 140 performances between 1st May and 30th September.
BOAT prides itself on showcasing productions for everyone. Theatre lovers will rejoice – for the 2019 programme contains a whole host of shows from critically acclaimed companies including Shakespeare’s Globe – But leave your dinner-jacket and ball-gown at home, because sunglasses, picnics and a bottle of bubbly (or two!) is what makes a voyage to BOAT so special.
For families, the 2019 programme has a huge selection of standout titles, including The Jungle Book, Gangsta Granny and The Wind In The Willows, sure to delight children and adults alike. BOAT offers a perfect family experience set in a park with unreserved outdoor seating, space to run around and a relaxed atmosphere.
