The body of a woman has been found at the foot of the cliffs at Peacehaven.
The coastguard, lifeboat, police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene shortly after 2.30pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 6 March).
Sussex Police said: “Police were called to a report of a body found on the beach off Steyning Avenue, Peacehaven, at 2.35pm.
“The body of the woman which has not been identified has been recovered by the coastguard.
“The coroner’s officer is dealing with the death.”
