Albion lost away to Burnley in a game played in foul weather.
The Clarets’ England defender James Tarkowski scored for the home team five minutes before half time.
Albion had a few chances.
The best of them was a Jurgen Locadia header from six yards out which the Dutch striker planted over the bar.
Towards the end, during a succession of corners, Albion had further chances to equalise.
Glenn Murray and Solly March both went close.
The Seagulls drop to 11th in the Premier League.
Their next match comes when they host Chelsea at the Amex on Sunday 16 December. Kick-off is at 1.30pm.
