We’ve found another value for money event for you lovely people. You get to see no less than four decent acts for just £6 up at the Hope & Ruin in Brighton Wednesday 5th December.
On the bill are Pizzagirl, Honey Moon, Jumanji and Suzi Island. Not yet aware of their talents? Well then let’s meet them……………..
Pizzagirl isn’t actually a girl, but a chap based in Liverpool going by the name of Liam Brown who specialises in a modern twist of that long lost (and now certainly welcomed back) pleasant 80’s synthpop sound best captured by the likes of China Crisis, Haircut 100, Level 42, Yazoo, Matt Fretton (look him up!) and the quieter New Order tracks. See what we mean by listening to his tracks HERE.

Support on the night comes from:
Honey Moon who are four London based guys, Jack, Zach, Sam and Joey, who proudly announce that they are purveyors of jangly croon pop to please your ears and warm your hearts and having heard their work, we totally concur with that assessment. We reckon The Bluebells, and Prefab Sprout meet Richard Hawley. See what you think by listening HERE.
Jumanji are the Brighton based outfit made up of Neneh Atkins (vocals), Aaron Butler (guitar & backing vocals), Nathan Maskell (guitar & backing vocals), Jonty Poulter (keys) and Joe Sayers (bass). They say that they offer up tropical pop. However, we hear a proficient Radio1 chart friendly act with definite potential. See what we mean by listening HERE.
Suzi Island are a young Brighton trio whose personnel is Matt, Hugh and
Carlie and are clearly placed firmly on BBC Music Introducing’s radar and have a reasonable chance of being a breakout band. On a radio near you soon – check them out HERE.
There you go guys – 4 great acts for a mere £6. You coming too? Well here’s the set times for you:
19:45 – Suzi Island (30 mins)
20:30 – Jumanji (30 mins)
21:15 – Honey Moon (30 mins)
