A bank robber fled empty-handed after demanding cash a branch of TSB in Brighton at lunchtime today (Thursday 22 November).
Sussex Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in relation to the unsuccessful robbery.
The force said: “A man went into the TSB bank in Western Road at about 1.40pm on Thursday (22 November) and demanded cash from staff.
”He implied he had a weapon.
“However, he then ran off empty handed along Western Road towards Hove. No one was hurt and no weapon was seen.
“The man is white, aged in his mid-30s, has green eyes, a black beard and was wearing a Russian-style type hat with fur sides, a bright orange t-shirt, dark coat and scarf.”
Detective Sergeant Chris Lane said: “We would like to hear from anyone who recognises the description of the suspect or has any information about this incident.”
Sussex Police urged anyone with information to contact the force online or ring 101 quoting serial 712 of 22/11.
