Everton 3 Brighton & Hove Albion 1
Albion’s winning run came to an end at Goodison Park.
Brazilian Richarlison de Andrade opened the scoring for the home team on 26 minutes after good work by Gylfi Sigurdsson. The goal came after Albion lost possession from their own corner.
The Seagulls got themselves back in the match from another corner. This time Ali Jahanbakash floated in an effort which was headed home powerfully by Lewis Dunk to make it 1-1 at half time.
Just after half time Seamus Colman fired in a 20-yard drive to put Everton back in front.
The home side were certainly dominant but Albion kept the deficit to one goal until the 77th minute when Richarlison bagged his second of the game.
One bright note was that summer signing Florin Andone finally make his Albion debut.
Albion slip to 12th in the Premier League and will stay there until at least next Saturday (10 November) when they go to Cardiff for the lunchtime kick-off.
