Schoolchildren gave Strictly stars Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton cupcakes as they took a break from dance practice yesterday.
The pair have been practising for their Samba this week at The Studio in Whippingham Road, Brighton.
After word spread on Tuesday that the couple were in town, children took them chocolate crispie cakes for a mid-rehearsal energy boost.
And they were thrilled when they both came out to say hello and accept their present.
Brighton parent Kath Vlcek said: “Word started spreading on Wednesday that the pair were at The Studio, and when the children heard they were very excited.
“And so yesterday, a group of them went to the studios to give them some cakes, and Stacey and Kevin came out to say hello.
“Stacey and Kevin talked about the minion dance and being covered in yellow paint. They said they really appreciated the support and were glad we’d be voting for them!”
Stacey, who lives in Brighton, and Kevin were at The Studio from Tuesday to Thursday. They also had an adventure at another unknown studio in Brighton on Monday when they got stuck inside after it was locked up while they were still practising late at night.
A source told The Mirror: “They thought it was funny at first but once they made a few calls to Strictly bosses the owner of the studios couldn’t be contacted and they were trapped.
“They ended up having to climb and then crawl through a window to make their escape.”
