A Brighton man has been arrested for common assault after a row outside a bar.
Sussex Police issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident where one man appeared to threaten others with a hammer.
The force said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a verbal altercation outside a Brighton bar.
“Officers were called around 7.50pm on Wednesday (25 April) to Latest Music Bar, in Manchester Street, Brighton, after reports of a verbal altercation outside.
”One man is reported to have threatened two others with what was believed to be a hammer.
“A 29-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of common assault.
“He remains in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
