A teenager was treated overnight in hospital after being injured in a hit and run.
Sussex Police said that a 45-year-old man from Telscombe Cliffs had been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
The 18-year-old was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after he was struck by a car in King’s Road by the junction with East Street.
The teenager suffered injury to his foot but had no broken bones or other serious injuries.
He was kept in overnight for observation and discharged in the morning.
The incident happened at about 1.15am on Friday (15 April).
The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and released on police bail until Wednesday (20 April).
