Albion lost at home to Leicester after the game turned on Glenn Murray’s 77th minute penalty miss.
Both Murray and Jose Izquierdo had chances to put Albion ahead in the first half.
Murray was clean through but shot wide of Kasper Schmeichel’s post.
Riyad Mahrez had a good chance but Maty Ryan saved well down to his left.
Albion were in the ascendancy early in the second half.
Izquierdo had a superb chance to create for Murray or Davy Propper but the Columbian chose to try a shot himself which was charged down.
Then a turning point. Izquierdo was sycthed down by Wes Morgan after good work by Solly March.
Murray stepped up but Schmeichel beat his effort away low down to his left.
Just five minutes later after a sustained spell of Foxes pressure Vicente Iborra headed Leicester in front.
Albion tried to get back in the match. Solly March saw a free kick tipped over the bar by Schmeichel.
Albion were handed a lifeline when Ndidi was sent off for a rash challenge on Shane Duffy.
As Albion pushed forward so gaps appeared in the defence and Jamie Vardy scored an undeserved opportunistic second.
Albion play Huddersfield Town next Saturday (7 April) in a crucial six-pointer at the Amex.
