WITH VIDEO: A car fire on the A27 at Hove is causing long tailbacks this afternoon.
Firefighters were called shortly after 4pm to the blaze, and at 4.50pm, two fire engines were still at the scene.
Sussex Police said on Twitter that nobody was injured, and officers were busy clearing the scene.

Drivers reported that the eastbound carriageway was at a standstill for a while, but one lane was reopened by 4.50pm.

A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “At 16:09, firefighters were called to a car fire on A27 (Eastbound) in Hove. There are currently two appliances in attendance.”
