A man suspected of carrying out three bank robberies in twelve days has been arrested in Brighton.
Sussex Police officers swooped in Western Road, Brighton, this afternoon (Wednesday 9 March) and detained the man in a pre-planned operation.
The suspect is due to be questioned about the hold up at the NatWest Bank in Church Road, Hove, yesterday (Tuesday 8 March).
The robber queued up in the Hove Town Hall branch before passing a note to the cashier demanding money.
The suspect also faces questions about the robbery at the Co-operative Bank in Western Road, Brighton, on Tuesday 1 March and the robbery at the Halifax bank in George Street, Hove, on Friday 25 February.
