A power cut over the weekend has caused problems for Brighton and Hove City Council.
The authority’s website is down today (Monday 14 February) and numerous IT systems have been affected by the outtage, which is believed to have happened in the early hours.
Council officers are providing updates via the BrightonHoveCC Twitter account and Facebook page.
By the middle of the morning the council website was carrying a message which said: “Sorry that you can’t access the website at this time.
“This is because of a power cut at Hove Town Hall this morning.
“We are doing our best to fix the problem and we will update you here and via Twitter and Facebook throughout the day.
“If you need a service urgently please call 01273 290000.”
