A Hove dentist has been jailed for two and a half years after admitting four charges of fraud.
Philip Yellowley also pleaded guilty to two charges of trying to pervert the course of justice after asking colleagues to lie to police.
The 51-year-old, who practiced at Hove Court Dental Centre in New Church Road, Hove, was struck off by the General Dental Council in April 2009.
The move followed complaints by patients about how much they had been charged for work that he had carried out.
The fraud charges against Yellowley, who lives in Norman Close, Battle, followed an investigation by Sussex Police.
I knew Philip as a personal family friend and a very nice and bright man. Honestly it is a shame.
Phillip Yellowley damaged 7 of my teeth. So I cannot see where he is a nice man. He lied to me and put me through hell. He had NO license when he started on my teeth. HORRENDOUZ to say the least!! This was in 2008 and now in 2013 I am still having issues as for the extensive damage he caused, not to mention the thousands of pounds I had to pay.
Forgot to say that the worst was, that Yellowley was recommended to me by my Chiropractitioner. So of course you trust such recommendation.
