A teenager has been charged with carrying out five armed robberies on the streets of Brighton and Hove.
James Brown, 18, of Dyke Road, Brighton, has been remanded in custody to appear before Brighton magistrates tomorrow (Saturday 5 February).
He is believed to have been arrested by officers from Sussex Police overnight.
A 17-year-old boy from Brighton, arrested in connection with the robberies, has been cautioned for handling stolen goods.
Another 17-year-old boy, also from Brighton, has been released without charge.
The robberies took place in New England Street, St Nicholas Road and Pelham Street, Brighton, and Hove Park Villas, Hove, from Thursday 27 January to Tuesday 1 February.
