A Hove man caught with hundreds of pornographic pictures of children has been spared an immediate prison sentence.
Andrew Cook, 33, of Woodlands, Hove, pleaded guilty to four charges of having indecent photographs of children at Lewes Crown Court on Monday (20 March).
The court was told that Cook’s hoard of child porn came to light in May last year. Some of them showed children being sexually abused.
He was found to have more images in August.
Cook appeared before Brighton magistrates in January and was sent for trial in the crown court where he entered a plea of guilty.
Judge Charles Kemp sentenced Cook to four months in prison, suspended for two years, on each of the four counts.
