Brighton musicians are playing a gig to support a campaign against fascism on the eve of Holocaust Memorial Day.
Jackson and the King Kickers, Easy Company and Monika Henter are due to appear at the Hydrant in London Road, Brighton, from 7.30pm next Wednesday (26 January). Tickets are £5.
The event has been organised by Brighton Love Music Hate Racism for Brighton and Hove Unite Against Fascism and Love Music Hate Homophobia.
Brighton and Hove Unite Against Fascism spokesman Simon Burgess said: “It’s too easy to be complacent in our city but there are BNP and English Defence League activists organising in Sussex.
“They may be more visible in Eastbourne, Crawley and Hastings but BNP leaflets were being delivered across the city at the general election and we have local elections coming up in May.
“We want to be visible now saying your hate is not welcome here or anywhere.”
