Three men were arrested in Hove after a burglary in Brighton, Sussex Police said.
The police helicopter provided support after the suspects were seen getting into a car, with officers on the ground in pursuit.
Sussex Police said: “Police called to a house burglary in Glen Rise, Withdean, Brighton, on Thursday afternoon (9 March) found intruders had stolen £600 cash and a quantity of jewellery.
“But after three men were seen getting into a car near by officers, supported by a police helicopter, followed the vehicle and detained three men at a premises in Hove.
“A bag containing items believed to have been stolen in the raid was also recovered.
“A 35-year-old man, of no fixed address, and a 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both from Brighton, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
“They are currently in police custody awaiting interview by detectives.
