A woman has been convicted by a jury of pimping out a 13-year-old girl from her home in Hove.
The jury, at Brighton Crown Court, unanimously convicted Karen Potter, 35, of arranging the prostitution of a child and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
The offences were alleged to have happened while Potter was living in temporary housing in Hove.
Potter, of Harrison Road, Worthing, gave vodka to the girl before offering her to Neil Oxlade, 37, for cash.
The jury found Oxlade guilty of paying for sex with a child and engaging in sexual activity in front of a child.
Potter and Oxlade of Colwyn Bay, Wales, had sex in front of the girl, the court was told by Alan Gardner, prosecuting.
Judge David Rennie sent the jury back out to consider their verdict on other charges against the defendants at lunchtime today (Friday 27 January).
He later arranged to sentence the pair on Tuesday (31 January).
The case came to light after girl, who is now 18 and living in Brighton, went missing. Her uncle tracked her down to Whitehawk where she told him what had happened. He told Sussex Police.
