A woman has been beaten and stabbed in an attack at the traveller site on the edge of Brighton, Sussex Police said this morning (Friday 30 December).
The 37-year-old woman suffered bruising to her face and a stab wound to her left buttock.
Police are trying to trace a 35-year-old man after the violent row at the Horsdean site in St Michael’s Way, Patcham.
Sussex Police said: “Police are seeking witnesses to an incident at Horsdean … in which a 37-year-old woman was stabbed and beaten during an argument.
“It happened outside sometime overnight on Tuesday (27 December) and Wednesday (28 December) and left the victim with facial bruising and a stab wound to her left buttock.
“The suspect, a 35-year-old man who is known to her, is believed to have fled to London.
