A fire broke out early this morning at a flat in Storrington Close in Hangleton.
Three fire engines from Preston Circus and Hove were sent to the blaze in the ground floor flat at 6am.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
The incident rounded off a busy night shift in the city. Shortly before 6pm yesterday, Hove firefighters were sent to Brunswick Place, in Hove, after reports of electrics affected by flooding. The crew isolated the leak.
And then at 8pm last night Brighton firefighters were sent to Howard Place, in Brighton, after reports of electrics affected by flooding. The crew isolated the leak.
