A post office in Hove has been robbed at knifepoint this afternoon (Monday 17 October) just before thousands of pupils left nearby schools for the day.
Two men held up the post office at Amherst Crescent Stores, in Old Shoreham Road, Hove, by the corner of Amherst Crescent.
Sussex Police said: “At about 2.50pm police received a report of a knifepoint robbery at the post office in Old Shoreham Road, Hove.
“Two suspects entered the store and stole a quantity of cash from the till, before making off on foot towards Portslade.
“During the incident, the shop worker was threatened with a knife by one of the suspects but not harmed.
“Police are appealing for witnesses.”
