A 16-year-old boy has been charged with committing grievous bodily harm with intent after another boy was stabbed in Portslade on Saturday (10 September).
The boy, from Portslade, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (13 September).
The victim also aged 16 remains in a stable condition in the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, after he was stabbed in the car park of the Co-op store in Abinger Road at 5.17pm.
A 15-year-old boy from Hove, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and an 18-year-old Portslade man arrested on suspicion of affray have both been released on bail until 18 November pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Ian Still said: “We would like to hear from anyone with information or who witnessed the attack.”
