A woman was bitten in the hands and arms while trying to separate two fighting dogs at her home in Brighton this week.
Three police vans and an ambulance were called to the flat in Elm Grove on Monday at 11.25am as the woman struggled to drag the dogs apart.
Both the woman and one of the dogs were injured during the fight. The woman was treated by an ambulance for puncture wounds but said she didn’t want to pursue the matter.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a report of a woman being injured while trying to separate two dogs who were fighting in her flat in Elm Grove, Brighton, on Monday (4 July) at 11.25am.
“The woman was treated by an ambulance crew at the scene for puncture wounds to her hands and arms.
“One of the dogs, who she was looking after, was injured and taken to the PDSA for treatment by police.
“The woman did not wish to pursue the matter. The dog has now been rehomed.”
