Eleven people were rescued by a fire crew after becoming trapped in a lift in a Brighton car park.
The lift became stuck between the ground floor and first floor at the Russell Road NCP car park at about 10.40pm on Friday (17 December).
A crew from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service managed to release the group by just after 11pm.
They had been to see Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds at the Brighton Centre.
Watch Commander David Washington said: “The 11 people in the lift were very calm and enjoyed their time in a rather warm cramped lift together.
“The atmosphere was mostly festive after attending a night out at an event in the Brighton Centre.”
