Potential foster parents in Brighton and Hove are being invited to go along to two open mornings in Portslade to find out more about what is involved.
The invitation comes as Foster Care Fortnight gets under way tomorrow (Monday 16 May).
Blue Sky Fostering is holding the open mornings at its offices in the Tungsten Building, George Street, Portslade, from 10am to 1pm on Monday 23 May and Monday 6 June.
The agency said that the events were being hosted by new south east assistant director Fiona Hutchison and her team.
Ms Hutchison, who qualified as a social worker more than 25 years ago and joined Blue Sky in March, said: “I was attracted to Blue Sky because of its Ofsted ‘outstanding’ reputation in all areas and for its commitment to the Therapeutically Led Care (TLC) programme for children.
“Also, I liked the community feel that Blue Sky is known for, with foster carers being completely integrated as part of the team.”
The mother of two added: “In the short time I have been here, I have not been disappointed. Everyone in the Portslade team and the wider organisation has made me feel extremely welcome.
“Not only are they a highly dedicated and professional group who are passionate about outcomes for children, they are also a delightful bunch of people, each of whom brings something special and unique to the team.”
Anyone wanting to find out more is welcome to drop in at any time between 10am and 1pm on the two Mondays – or call 0845 450 3519 to arrange an appointment for another date.
