Three men have been arrested after bottles were hurled during a fight in a busy Brighton street.
Sussex Police issued a public appeal for information as they try to trace the others who were involved in the fight in Preston Street.
The force said: “At around 5.05pm on Tuesday (5 April) a large group on men were having a fight outside a mobile shop, where they were throwing bottles at each other and the shop.
“No one was injured and it is believed all these men are known to each other.
“After the fight, the men ran from the area into Regency Square.
“Three men were arrested
- A 20-year-old man from Southwick has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and violent disorder.
- A 21-year-old man from Hove has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of a controlled drug.
- A 24-year-old man from Brighton has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, resisting a police officer in execution of their duty and violent disorder.
“They have been bailed until Thursday 9 June and Friday 10 June.”
Detective Sergeant Chris Lane said: “We believe the group met up outside McDonald’s in Western Road a short time before.
“Preston Street was very busy at the time and we are keen to speak to witnesses to the incident or anyone with information.
“In particular we would like to trace a woman, seen on CCTV, pushing a small child in a green and black children’s push along trike who narrowly avoided being caught up in the fracas.
“Also, a number of vehicles were travelling along the street around the time and we would like them to come forward especially if they have dash camera footage that could assist us.”
Anyone with information is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
