An elderly woman was injured today after the bus she was travelling on crashed with an RAF vehicle.
Brighton Acting Sergeant Jimmy Conway tweeted that Marine Parade was closed at about 12.40pm – but by 1.15, the road reopened.
Brighton and Hove Buses were diverted in both directions as a result.
A police spokesman said: “At 12.22pm on Tuesday (8 March), police were called to a collision between a RAF vehicle and a bus on the A259 Marine Parade in Brighton.
“An elderly woman who was a passenger on the bus is reported to have sustained minor injuries.
The road was closed temporarily and reopened at about 1.08pm.”

Due to an RTC on the A259 coast road, all services are diverting via Arundel Road, Eastern Road and Edward Street to the Old Steine.
