Parking wardens have called off their strike in Brighton and Hove and will be working as normal this weekend, their employer said yesterday (Friday 18 December).
Members of the GMB union who work for the parking contractor NSL had already been on strike in a dispute over pay.
NSL operates the parking enforcement contract locally on behalf of Brighton and Hove City Council.
The company said: “After further constructive talks this week we are pleased to have reached a positive resolution on a two-year pay deal providing long-term job security and the opportunity to continue to provide a high-quality public service to Brighton and Hove City Council and its businesses and residents.
“There will be no further industrial action and, as previously stated, all parking regulations should be observed by the public as normal.
