Bobby Zamora is poised to start his first Albion home game for more than 12 years at the Amex tomorrow.
Albion boss Chris Hughton told Brighton & Hove News that Zamora was “certainly in the frame ” to start. Hughton added that he thought Zamora was very good at Burnley on Sunday adding “we have managed him the best way possible he didn’t have much of a pre-season but he has certainly put himself in contention.
Hughton also spoke about Daniel Akindayini , a young stiker who appeared in the match day squad for the first time up at Burnley ” it was good for the lad and good for the club ( that he was involved ) we have had him here for about a year now since he came from Tottenham- he certainly gives us something a little bit different up-front, he has developed well and he has that little bit more pace”
Hughton intimated that his inclusion was more based on merit but admitted Albion had a difficult time with injuries and sickness leading up to the Burnley match.
Albion take on Birmingham City at the Amex tomorrow (28th November) with tickets for the match still available.
