The UK is bracing itself for its first ever named storm, Abigail, tomorrow – but here on the south coast, we’re likely to experience “unseasonable warmth” as a result.
Scotland is likely to take the brunt of Storm Abigail, with winds of up to 80mph forecast.
But AccuWeather says that while we may get showers down south tomorrow, the main affect will be higher than normal temperatures.
Meteorologist Eric Leister said: “Even with showers in the forecast, abnormal warmth will continue across Ireland, England and Wales with high temperatures ranging from 12-16 C (53-60 F).
“Southern England will dodge the strongest winds; however, gusts of 50-65 km/h (30-40 mph) are still possible from Thursday afternoon into Friday.”
No Met Office severe weather warnings are in place for the south east of England.
