Firefighters put out a blaze in the roof of a flat in Hove this morning (Friday 23 October).
The fire service said: “East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire at a property in Dyke Road Avenue, Hove, this morning.
“Three appliances from Preston Circus and Hove and one officer were mobilised to the scene at 10.18am on (Friday) 23 October.
“Crews used breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire which started in a flat roof.
“A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots before the scene was left in the care of the building owners.”
