The battle between the mods and rockers on Brighton beach in 1964 has been recreated by a local mobility company – using a souped up zimmer frame.
Brighton based mobility company essentialaids.com has put its own spin on cult movie Quadrophenia with their very own Quadrosenior by transforming walking frames in the style of Mods and Rockers.
Using models aged 70 and 77, the company says it’s keen to show that no matter what your age, it’s important to celebrate individuality.
Essentialaids.com’s Alex Wrenn said: “Seniors are enormously influential and lead the way in all aspects of society. We wanted our Quadrosenior photos and sensational zimmers to reflect the indomitable spirit of Britain’s over 60s.”
I’ve been saying for years that I want wing mirrors and go-faster stripes on my zimmer frame if I need one. Not sure about lighting, the whole thing could get too heavy.
