A Brighton man has been charged with drink driving after Sussex Police said that he was found slumped asleep at the wheel of his car.
The force said: “Gary McCue, 51, was arrested at 2.10am on (Saturday) 27 June after officers found him slumped over his steering wheel in Marine Parade, Brighton.
“McCue, of Manor Way, Brighton, was charged with drink driving and remanded in custody to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 29 June).
“A total of 90 people have so far been charged with offences during Sussex Police’s June drink and drug driving operation.”
The crackdown – Operation Dragonfly – takes place for a month each summer.
