The Eco Technology Show said that it had attracted more business visitors than ever before.
The show celebrated its fourth year in Brighton with a two-day stay at the American Express Community Stadium last week.
The organisers said that business visitors accounted for 75 per cent of the total number of attendees at te event on Thursday 11 June and Friday 12 June.
And the overall number attending was 10 per cent up on 2014 when the show was held at the Brighton Centre.
On display were the latest innovations, ideas and expertise to help cut running costs and boost energy efficiency at home and work.
Nicola Gunstone, founder and commercial director of the Eco Technology Show, said: “We had more on offer for business people than ever before this year so I’m really pleased that this was reflected in the visitor numbers with 75 per cent coming from businesses.
“The show has evolved since it began and this year we had the best conference programme and more innovative exhibitors than ever before.
“The brand new Innovation Zone was buzzing and new business was being conducted throughout the show. In fact, we recorded the highest levels of exhibitor satisfaction this year.”
South Downs Solar managing director and Eco Technology Show director Michael Yeoman said: “As a direct result of exhibiting at last year’s show we generated £100,000 worth of business and I expect to exceed that this year.”
The Taiwan Trade Centre based in London chose the Eco Technology Show to launch a range of green products.
Chloe Lo from the firm’s marketing department said: “This is a brilliant event. We were able to showcase our new products and made some very useful contacts who are interested in what we are doing and trying to achieve.”
Light Foot LED has exhibited at the show since it started in 2012. Managing director Joakim Roth said: “The event has produced good leads for our business. This year was by far the best one for us.”

There was a big programme if seminars all day for each of the two days – of which I was able to attend one.
It was well worth hearing and well attended. And free!
The AMEX is a nightmare for first time visitors. No disabled loos. Crummy fast-food bars, and a lack of signage meant driving round and round and round trying to make sense of the place! Or even to find the exhibition.
Increased attendance will be about growing uptake of the need to know about eco-tech.
Sadly parking is an issue for use of the Brighton Centre apparently. It is not just a show for local people and however non-eco it is, block booking parking lot space is needed to cater for Brighton Centre visitors grom out of town.
Return to the Brighton Centre with laid on parking and visitor numbers could be doubled next year.
As an exhibitor at the show we found the event a great success with a high calibre of visitor for both trade and consumer. Once again we had lots of opportunities for solar PV installations as well as new partnerships with other exhibitors and trade contacts.
From a set up perspective the Amex was great for easy access and lots of free parking. For new visitors finding the stadium from the A27 can be a challenge which the Amex need to deal with.
We found the cafés and food to be excellent with nice coffee and one of the best lasagna I have ever had.
When time allowed I found the talks and debates of a high standard.
A well thought out, considered and successful event. See you next year.
