Rotherham United have been deducted three points for fielding an ineligible player against Brighton and Hove Albion.
A Football Disciplinary Commission ruled that Rotherham United be docked the three points with immediate effect for fielding teenage loan signing Farrend Rawson against Albion on Easter Monday (6 April).
The Millers won the Championship match 1-0 with Rawson spending the whole 90 minutes on the pitch.
Rotherham were also fined £30,000, half of which will be suspended until the end of the 2015-16 season. The club must also pay the costs of the hearing and the Football League.
If Rotherham are to appeal, they have until Friday 1 May.
The points deduction leaves Rotherham vulnerable to relegation to League One. They would otherwise be safe but Millwall are now one point behind them although the Millers have a game in hand.
