Albion’s on loan midfielder Joao Teixeira has broken his leg after coming off worse as he tackled Huddersfield Town’s Nahki Wells.
The 22-year-old Liverpool loan signing broke his leg late on in the draw with Huddersfield at the Amex on Tuesday night (14 April).
Replays of the incident drew gasps in the lounges and concourses after the match as it became clear that the Portuguese U21 also caught his studs in the wet turf as he fell.
Teixeria is joint top scorer with Lewis Dunk this season with six goals.
