Hove Business Association is hosting a breakfast hustings this morning (Thursday 9 April).
The association’s April Business Breakfast will be given over to a Question Time style event entitled “What can your party do for local businesses in Hove and Portslade?”
The panellists include four of the parliamentary candidates in Hove – Graham Cox (Conservative), Christopher Hawtree (Green), Peter Kyle (Labour) and Kevin Smith (UKIP).
Jeremy Gale, who is running for one of the Central Hove seats on Brighton and Hove City Council, is standing in for the Liberal Democrats’ Hove parliamentary candidate Peter Lambell.
The event runs from 7.30am to 9am at the County Ground, in Eaton Road, Hove.
Each candidate is making a pitch for up to five minutes before the panel take questions from the audience.
The event is being sponsored by NFU Mutual.
7am is a bit late for breakfast. I was up at 4, now on second big mug of tea, and have made notes for my Cricket Ground “pitch” as you put it (news feeds can never resist puns, it seems to me).
