Rotherham United 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 0
Albion lost their second match of the Easter period, going down 1-0 in the club’s first visit to the New York Stadium.
Matt Derbyshire scored the only goal of the game after eight minutes.
Kazenga LuaLua had a couple of good chances during the first half. But it was Beram Kayal, clean through again and in a similar position to the one he found himself in against Norwich, who had the best chance. Again the Isreali fluffed his lines, with Rotherham keeper Emilio Martinez smothering the ball at his feet.
Albion had plenty of possession in the second half. Substitutes Leon Best and Craig Mackail-Smith linked up again but proved to be largely ineffectual where it counted. The Seagulls had only two shots on target during the whole match.
Albion take on League leaders Bournemouth at the Amex on Friday (10 April).
