Cine-City, Brighton’s annual film festival, opened last night with a screening of The King’s Speech.
The programme this year includes two short documentaries made by students from Sussex University.
Most of the films screened during this year’s festival will be shown at the Duke of York’s in Preston Circus.
But the two shorts shot by students from the Falmer campus will be shown at the Sallis Benney Theatre in Grand Parade on Saturday 4 December as part of Brighton Screening Day.
They films are called New Members Welcome and Beyond A Song.
The first is about Brighton Trades Social Club and Beyond A Song chronicles the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus.
