A leading conference for web typographers has booked Brighton for its 2015 gathering.
Ampersand is scheduled to take place at the Corn Exchange on Friday 13 November.
According to the blurb: “Ampersand is an affordable one-day event for knowledgeable web designers and type enthusiasts.
“Ampersand 2015 will be a fabulous day of nitty gritty details in all aspects of web typography, presented by experts in typeface design, layout, typesetting, performance and optimisation.”
The conference, last held in New York in 2013, has been held in Brighton on three previous occasions.
Open types will stay centred or possibly flush right with light faces during bold presentations, full points and condensed learning as they track the fonts of knowledge on the day.
Responsive types, dingbats or other characters booking an overnight stay may feel justified getting spaced out in Brighton but if they search for sans on the beach, it’ll be no Roman holiday.
