Brighton and Hove can expect two days of high winds and heavy bursts of rain.
Wind speeds are expected to top 40 knots at times and rainfall is expected to total close to half an inch, much of it later today (Sunday 22 February).
The conditions are not expected to be bad enough to warrant a severe weather warning from the Met Office.
As often, northern parts of Britain will be harder hit by the Atlantic weather system that is heading this way. But local road conditions could be challenging at times.
Another burst of heavy rain is forecast for Thursday (26 February).
