The body of a missing Hove pensioner has been found washed up on a beach.
Sussex Police confirmed that the remains of Arthur Jones, 73, have been identified.
Mr Jones, a retired bus driver who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, had been missing for a fortnight.
His wife Jean reported that he had disappeared on the afternoon of Wednesday 27 October from their home in Mountbatten Court in Ingram Crescent, Hove.
A couple who were walking their dog on the beach near the bandstand in Eastbourne found Mr Jones’s remains earlier this week.
His death has been reported to the coroner and an inquest is expected to be held.
