More than 3,000 runners took part in the Brighton 10k yesterday (Sunday 16 November).
And many more watched the 10-kilometre race which started and finished in Madeira Drive on Brighton seafront.
Two local runners finished in the top three behind Paul Whittaker, of Southend Athletics Club, who completed the distance in 30 minutes and 41 seconds.
Seven seconds behind him, Jon Pepper, of Brighton Phoenix, came second, while next over the line was Kevin Rojas, of Brighton and Hove City AC, in 31min 3 sec.
Helena Tobin, of Brighton and Hove City AC, was the fastest woman from the area, finishing 16 seconds behind the winner, Katrina Wooton, of Coventry Godiva, whose chip time was 34min 56sec.
