Albion in the Community is running a Saturday Soccer Club offering weekly coaching sessions for boys and girls aged 5 to 14 years old across Brighton and Hove.
The charity said that coaching sessions would encourage children to learn and develop ball skills and are led by qualified and FA licensed coaches.
The aim is for those who attend each week to increase in confidence and ability, make friends and possibly be invited to attend Brighton and Hove Albion’s development or elite centre programmes.
Saturday Soccer Clubs take place at Dorothy Stringer School and in Preston Park in Brighton and at Hove Park School at the Upper School site in Nevill Road, Hove.
The Saturday morning clubs in Preston Park are girls only as Albion in the Community aims to increase and maintain female participation in football.
The charity has been able to increase girls’ participation in its programmes after introducing a number of schemes and events over the past three years.
The sessions run from 9.30am to 11.15am on Saturday mornings with children expected to wear suitable training wear including appropriate footwear.
